Jonathan Krugman (they/them)

Another artist showing that born-in-Austin unicorns still exist, Jonathan has been creating since they were a child. Introduced to the beauty industry in 2012 when their gay softball team needed a makeup artist for a drag fundraiser, looked at Jonathan, and said “You’re artsy! You could do our makeup!”

Working for a range of cosmetic companies and a hair salon led them to working on editorial photo shoots. They led makeup for two winning North American Hairstyling Awards shoots in 2017 and 2020. Their makeup has been featured on the cover Tribeza magazine’s style issue multiple times.

Starting in 2022 as a freelance artist they began saying yes to hairstyling on photo shoots, and in 2024 officially added hairstyling on their list of services. They’re thrilled to be part of the team at Alchemist Society to reveal people’s beauty, guide clients to gender euphoria, and create a safe space to explore your style.
